Summer Fun
With the past academic year behind us, and summer underway, it’s a great time to explore all the campus has to offer!
One of the great things about working here is that we have so many opportunities to get outdoors. Check out the Humboldt Campus Walking Map for ideas on a short walk around campus, or sign up for a class through Center Activities. Center Activities offers introductory through advanced courses in kayaking, sailing, stand up paddleboarding, backpacking and more. Not sure what class to take? Get a chance to try out a variety of water activities on July 23 during Family Fun Day at the Humboldt Bay Aquatic Center!
For those looking for indoor activities, check out World of Needlecraft, offered weekly in the library, or try one of the other interesting courses offered through L4HSU.
You can also hone your leadership skills through a number of great new trainings this summer! First, HR & APS is launching our new series for Supervisors and Leads this month with two courses: Performance Management in the CSU and Performance Evaluation in the CSU. Also check out the new Leadership Toolkit Series, which includes courses on Providing Feedback, Listening, Coaching, and Storytelling.
