African Dance Fitness

Join CSU Sacramento instructor Maria Muganzo, award-winning community dance instructor and choreographer, for a fun, active, and informative dance class. African dance utilizes all parts of the body and at times simultaneously. Dancers will learn how to navigate polyrhythmic beats and hip movement. Mazoezi is the Swahili word for exercise. October’s class is titled “Journey through Africa’s Influence” and dancers will learn movements and music that Africa has contributed to from around the world. All levels are welcome--no experience necessary. Join any class as your schedule allows.
