Listening

The Leadership Toolkit Series will focus on helping leaders motivate and develop the people they lead. Throughout the series, we will highlight a specific leadership skill to discuss and practice together. The following topics will be part of this series: Providing Feedback, Listening, and Coaching. Each session in the series will focus on how to apply the skills as a leader, however, anyone interested in the topic may attend any one or the whole series. Session 2: Listening: Does your mind sometimes wander or rehearse what you are going to say while someone else is talking to you? We live in a busy and distracting world. You are not alone. Listening is a skill we can practice to help us be more present with others. In this session, we will practice listening deeply to others through a series of activities. Come prepared to listen and be listened to in this interactive session.
