Facilitating Challenging Conversations: Managing Hot Moments

Even with extensive preparation and structure, sometimes people say or do things that offend or hurt others so it is also important to plan how you might respond in those moments. In this workshop, we will discuss strategies for facilitating productive group interactions and for responding with compassion when those interactions go astray. Although no prior experience or knowledge is required, participants are encouraged to attend the other sessions in the Facilitating Challenging Conversations series.
Participants will: Discuss strategies for heading off disruptions before they escalate. Discuss strategies for intervening directly with disruptive individuals.
