Aritificial Intelligence Tools Available Soon on Campus
Last February, The CSU Chancellor announced an initiative to bring AI tools, including ChatGPT, to all 23 CSU Campuses. A dedicated AI platform with enhanced AI learning tools, resources and professional development for students, faculty and staff will be available at no cost.
What is ChatGPT?
ChatGPT can be an invaluable resource for staff and faculty by streamlining administrative tasks and providing support in creating educational content. It can assist in drafting emails, newsletters, or official documents, allowing faculty to save time on routine communications. Additionally, it can help create syllabi, course outlines, and other instructional materials, ensuring that faculty members can focus more on teaching while maintaining organized and comprehensive resources for their students.
For faculty, ChatGPT can serve as a dynamic tool for generating lesson plans and course content tailored to specific learning objectives. It can offer suggestions for classroom activities, discussion prompts, or assessments to enhance student engagement. Faculty can also use it for grading assistance, quickly reviewing assignments, and providing constructive feedback to students, ensuring that they stay on track with their teaching goals while addressing individual student needs more efficiently.
While we wait for these tools to be available for us, try learning more about what Generative AI is and its practical uses by taking the courses below.
