Facilitating Challenging Conversations: Managing Hot Moments
Even with extensive preparation and structure, sometimes people say or do things that offend or hurt others so it is also important to plan how you might respond in those moments. In this workshop, we will discuss strategies for facilitating productive group interactions and for responding with compassion when those interactions go astray. Part 4 of 4 sessions of the Facilitating Challenging Conversations-Classroom Focus series.
SMART Goals
The SMART Goals approach utilizes behavior-based science and principles of human motivation to provide clarity, focus, and motivation to increase the probability of achieving a goal.
This “hands-on” workshop will allow participants to create meaningful and effective SMART goals in real time as we take a process-oriented, step-by-step approach to exploring the functionality of SMART goals and what makes them so effective.
Participants will utilize behavior mapping techniques and a SMART Goal Development Guide to prioritize, develop, and implement SMART goals in both personal and professional settings. Participants will be able to apply knowledge and skills developed in this workshop to personal goals, department, team and project goals, as well as to employee Individual Development Plans and performance evaluations.
