Open Lab-Software Topics

Do you have a question about LiveCycle, Dreamweaver, Excel, Access, OBI or Google Docs? Open lab sessions offer an opportunity to have your questions answered regarding these and other pieces of software. You choose the topic. These sessions are generally offered Mondays at 2:00. Check the training schedule for the next open lab!

 


HSU's Injury and Illness Prevention Program

It is the commitment of Humboldt State University to maintain a safe and healthful environment for its students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Based on principles of occupational safety, industrial hygiene, academic excellence, and fiscal responsibility, the University promotes comprehensive injury and illness prevention, and hazardous materials management programs.

This course is a one-time requirement for all employees. It is designed to familiarize you with the Injury and Illness Prevention Program and the process of reporting injuries when they occur. Please be sure to take the course through Moodle so that your participation is documented.

Defensive Driver TrainingOnline Defensive Driver Training

HSU employees who drive any vehicle on University business are required to complete a CSU-approved defensive driving course once every four years.  If this is your year to complete the training please follow the instructions below to get started.

Emergency Management Orientation

Once enrolled select HSU's Emergency Management Orientation under 'Assignments'

HSU's Emergency Management Online Orientation.

All HSU Faculty and Staff are welcome to sign up for this online Emergency Management Orientation sponsored by the University Police Department.

This interactive class will help you understand what you need to know incase of an on campus emergency.The class takes about an hour to complete and it does not have to be completed all at once. If you would like more information about this class please contact Jan Marnell in UPD.

Bloodborne Pathogens

This training is now available online for HSU employees who are required to complete mandatory Bloodborne Pathogen training. If you are unsure if this training is requirement of your job please please ask your supervisor or contact Tom Manoli in Environmental Health and Safety. This training takes approx. 45 to 60 minutes.
