Every employee plays an important role in preparing for, and responding to, emergencies on campus. Course will familiarize you with HSU's Emergency Management Organization and Evacuation Procedures, as well as with federally-mandated systems called NIMS (National Incident Management System); SEMS (Standardized Emergency Management System); and the ICS (Incident Command System).


All Humboldt State University employees.


CSU Chancellor's Office Executive Order 1056 mandates Emergency Management overview training to all employees and for employees to become familiar with these systems and with campus-specific emergency procedures.


Required to take training within the first year of employment with HSU.
